How do I choose my first yoga class?
We’re thrilled to welcome you to every class on our schedule! For a laid-back experience to relax and ease into movement, join us for Gentle Peace yoga on Monday or Wednesday, for added support, try our Chair Yoga class, or Restorative yoga for deep relaxation. If you are looking for a more athletic yoga, we recommend our invigorating Ashtanga Yoga class on Saturday mornings for fun and challenging workout!"
Should I bring my own equipment?
We have yoga blocks, blankets, bolsters and mats available for use during class.
However, mats are limited. We encourage you to bring your own!
Do I need to be flexible?
Flexibility is not a requirement at all! Yoga is made for everyone, no matter your skill level, and there are plenty of modifications available for beginners to enjoy and thrive!
Do I have to preregister or prepay to come to class?
Yes, we require preregistering to secure your spot, as our classes are super popular and space is limited! By registering, you'll guarantee your place in the class. If you're joining us for the first time, we suggest arriving early to get settled in. We happily accept prepayments online when using the registration link or VENMO upon request.
What should I wear?
Get ready to unleash your inner yogi! When you step into a yoga class, embrace comfort and flexibility by donning, stretchy clothing that lets you move freely and effortlessly. While most classes are enjoyed barefoot, if you crave a little extra grip why not try some fabulous yoga socks with non-slip soles. You'll be all set for amazing practice!
What time should I show up for class?
It's highly encouraged to arrive 10 to 15 minutes early for class! This way, can secure your spot and get comfortable before class begins!
Where is your studio and where do I park?
We are conveniently situated on route 85 at 269 Church Street, Amston, CT, right on the lower level beneath Hairline! Enjoy the convenience of free, well-lit parking in the lot beside the building.
Studio Etiquette
We welcome all to our studio, where good etiquette creates a joyful and respectful atmosphere for everyone! Here are some key points to keep our space of peace.
Before Class:

Parking: please be sure to park safely so others will too have space.

Arrive Early: Arrive at least 10-15 minutes before class starts to check in, set up your space, and settle in.

Silence Your Phone: Ensure your phone is turned off or silenced before entering the studio.

Remove Shoes: Leave your shoes outside the practice area to keep the space clean.

Introduce Yourself: If you’re new or have any injuries, inform the instructor before class begins.
During Class:

Respect Personal Space: Place your mat mindfully, giving others enough room to move and practice comfortably.

Listen to Your Body: Follow the instructor’s guidance, but never push yourself into pain or discomfort.

Minimize Distractions: Avoid talking and unnecessary movements during class. If you need to leave early, let the instructor know beforehand and position your mat near the exit.

Respect Silence: Speak softly and respect the calm atmosphere, even though it may feel festive before a class!
After Class:

Clean Your Space: Wipe down any studio props or borrowed mats and return them neatly.

Express Gratitude: Thank the instructor and fellow students if appropriate.

Leave Quietly: Maintain the peaceful environment as you exit, allowing others to continue their practice or meditation.
General Etiquette:

Personal Hygiene: Be mindful of your hygiene. Wear clean clothes and avoid strong scents.

Dress Appropriately: Wear comfortable, modest clothing suitable for yoga practice.

Be Open and Respectful: Embrace the practice with an open mind and respect different levels of experience and ability among students. If you are experienced, “empty your cup” and practice being a beginner.

Mind Your Health: If you are feeling unwell, consider skipping the class to prevent spreading illness and to allow your body to rest.

Class Cancellation & Refund Policy
We'll keep you informed about class cancellations due to bad weather on our website and media (Facebook & Instagram). As our studio grows, so does refund policy for fairness. For series classes, notify your instructor at least 24 hours in advance, but refunds are not available. For drop-in, registrations, a 24-hour cancellation notice grants a full refund. Workshop cancellations require 7 days notice for a full refund less a $10 processing fee.
