About the event
In this immersive workshop, we'll use the ancient practice of Yoga Nidra — a guided, deeply restorative state between waking and sleep — to journey through each of the seven chakras, clearing energetic blocks and inviting in balance, clarity, and renewal. Perfect for spring, this experience is a true inner cleanse for the mind, body, and spirit. No experience necessary — just come as you are and be ready to let go.
About Amy:
Amy Ordonez is known for her whimsical abstract paintings which reflect the inner and outer landscape. These colorful pieces celebrate the “happy accidents” where art is created by encouraging the materials to reveal their magic in community with the artist. Amy graduated Magna Cum Laude from Eastern CT State University with a double major in Sculpture and Art History. She enjoyed being a docent at the Wadsworth Atheneum for many years. For the past five years she owned Studio 13 in East Hampton, an independent art studio offering paint and sip workshops, paint pouring and children’s art classes. In February 2024 she moved to the quiet corner of CT and now lives and works out of the historic Brigham Tavern in Coventry.
Amy has been formally studying Sound Healing locally, and in 2024 she was accepted intothe prestigious 9ways Academia certification program (only nine students are accepted a year), a premiere sound healing school in Pennsylvania. Over the last few years Amy has been exploring the connection between creating art and mental health, developing unique programs that combine art and sound to help facilitate well being. She has presented these programs at schools, libraries, for social service departments, corporate wellness days and in private settings. She believes in the power of creative community and the ripple effect it has on society.
